Who has been eating my porridge? Who has been sleeping in my bed? No one’s sleeping on the job here in Prep Land! Each week, the Preps will delve into a different Fairytale during our Unit of Inquiry ‘Stories make us think’.

The Preps have been exploring the Fairytale of Goldilocks during the first week of Term 3. We have used pictures to sequence the events of the story, read different versions of the Fairytale where Golidlocks learns to eat her vegetables, used a Graphic Organiser to identify the ‘goodie’, ‘baddie’, setting, problem and solution in the story, and created our own ‘pop-up’ craft display!

After making the ‘pop-up’ craft display, each student wrote their own narrative using their chosen setting and the characters of Goldilocks, Mama Bear, Papa Bear or Baby Bear. Then they had to think of a problem their characters would encounter. Below is a sample of our narratives:

Once upon a time Goldilocks went to the wrong house and there was a big spider there. She ran away. The end.
