Preparation for Foundation
TRANSITION to SCHOOL PROGRAM for PRE-SCHOOL CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES
Foundation is a pivotal year in every child’s learning journey. Our transition program begins in Term 3 and operates for 5 sessions to ensure a smooth start to the year. Students explore the Foundation rooms, meet the teachers and their future classmates.
Students are given a lot of freedom in the sessions to gradually ease into the setting and immediately associate school with curiosity and comfort. Each Foundation student is also given a Year 6 Buddy to guide them through the year. The relationship is mutually beneficial and it is beautiful to watch the way the Year 6 students look after their little buddies.
Choice is a vital part of developing and maintaining a love for learning. The Primary Years Program (PYP) offers a framework where direct instruction blends seamlessly with inquiry.
Learning is based upon students interests but carefully scaffolded by the teacher.
You may download our enrolment form here. There is an Alternative Family Details form which is to be completed by families who are separated or divorced. Thanking you for your consideration in this matter.

Students residing in this zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address.
The Department provides guidance through the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and the freedom to choose other schools, subject to facility limitations.
