Level 2 Swimming 2016
Once again, swimming was a big hit with the students. Every day they were very excited to get on the bus and travel to the pool. The students learnt how to blow bubbles and put their face in water, progressing on to turning their heads to breathe to the side when doing freestyle. They churned up the water practising their backstroke and dolphin kicks. ‘Water Safety Day’ included learning how to rescue someone with a rope and what it feels like to fall into the water fully dressed. The students especially enjoyed ‘Fun Day’ when they went into the Waves Pool and were able to run (slip and slide) their way across a floating obstacle course. It was also fun for all those waiting on the side of the pool, as they were able to throw buckets of water at the person on the obstacle course.
