Kitchen Garden Program

Kingston Heath Primary School is part of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program. To successfully run this program we require volunteers for our kitchen and garden classes. If you are able to assist please contact the office.

Allergies in the kitchen

We have a duty of care to all students in the school. At the beginning of every year, information is requested from every family to inform us of any medical issues the children may have.

With the S.A.K.G. program in the school, these requirements also cover allergies to food. If your child has an allergy to any food or insects, you are required to take a copy of an ASCIA action plan to your doctor, have it completed, signed and returned as soon as possible.

Sometimes an allergy can erupt without prior warning, if this occurs please contact us for an action plan for allergies, so that all procedures can be followed. This form can also be downloaded from our website in the General Forms section of this page: https://khps.vic.edu.au/parents/

The safety of all children is paramount.

The S.A.K.G. program tries to encourage all the children to try a variety of different foods that you might not eat at home. Remember variety is the spice of life!
