Immigration Museum

By Adam S (Year 3J)

On Tuesday 24th November, Level 3 went on an excursion to the Immigration Museum in the city. The reason we went to the Immigration Museum was because we are focusing on our family histories and personal identity. It is mostly learning about your own personal cultures and different religions, as well as other peoples. We’re also learning about why refugees and other people who came to Australia have changed our country. At the museum we did lots of different things. There was a video of the reasons why people have moved to Australia. The other things we did were – what people brought to Australia and how they came to Australia (mode of transport) and when they came to Australia (period in time). Special thanks to all the parent helpers that came along with us to the Immigration Museum.
