National Tree DayBy Rebekah (Sustainability Captain) and Thomas (Garden Captain)
Friday 29th July was National Tree Day. We had an assembly with a special guest, David Jupp. He spoke about all sorts of things you could find in a wildlife corridor, and native animals. He had some wonderful props he brought with him. We had a lot of fun and learnt a lot from his presentation. We would like to thank David Jupp for coming and putting a lot of time of his presentation.
Prep to Year 2 coloured in a picture about germination, after they watched a video on plant germination.
Years 3 to 6 discussed the difference between indigenous, native and introduced plants. Then they worked on a PowerPoint in pairs about the plants in the wildlife corridor.
