Vishwa G (Kitchen Captain)

It was the second Kitchen lesson for 2017, and we were all excited to find out what delicious food we were going to make. Mrs Bourke had selected something yummier than we expected.

 

For the main we made Creamy Vegan Tofu with Pasta, Damper with Fennel Seeds and Chargrilled Pumpkin Salad with Red Onion. For dessert we had Chocolate and Zucchini Cupcakes.

 

We thought that one of the recipes was strange: the Chocolate and Zucchini cupcakes. Everyone thought that zucchini in a chocolate cupcake wouldn’t taste good, but when we ate it we couldn’t taste the zucchini, it tasted like just chocolate, so everyone liked it more than they thought they were going to. We can’t  wait to see what else we get to make.

 

A big thank you to all our helpers: In 56A’s lesson we were lucky enough to have Mr Leonard, Mr Roelvink and Miss Campbell (our student teacher). We are still looking for more helpers so if you are able to come please come and join in the fun!
