This year students at KHPS will be celebrating ‘Friendship Week’ during the last week of Term 1. Students will be participating in a range of activities to celebrate and recognise ‘Harmony Day’, ‘Anti- Bullying Day’ and ‘Close the Gap Day’.
During ‘Anti Bullying Day’, Levels 1 and 2 will undertake activities which focus on ‘getting along’ and the role of a bystander. Levels 3 and 4 will participate in activities which highlight what cyber bullying looks like and what to do if it happens to themselves or a friend.
‘Close the Gap Day’ will have all students involved in activities that highlight and teach them about the history surrounding Australia. Levels 3 and 4 will also learn about the gap that exists between Indigenous and Non- Indigenous Australians.
To celebrate ‘Harmony Day’, students will be split into multi-year level groups and participate in lessons and games which recognise the diversity of Australia and Kingston Heath Primary School.
We are looking forward to a fantastic ‘Friendship Week’ at Kingston Heath Primary School!
